Tech tip
Conserve paper by saving receipts from Web purchases as PDF files instead of printing them. A free program, Cute- PDF, converts an on-screen Web receipt to a PDF file by just using the Print command and choosing "CutePDF Writer" as the printer. The program and a required helper script are both available at cutepdf.com. Also on the Web: Microsoft has a free PDF add-on for Office 2007 at snipurl.com/3aqxp. In the Mac OS X Print dialogue box, click the PDF button to see your PDF options -- including a "Save PDF File to Web Receipts Folder" command.
